U.S.A. Best Buy transforms 25% of stores into a ship-from-store hub

250 stores will be specially designated to handle a higher volume of packages, though all stores ship online orders.
The electronics retailer Best Buy, well known for innovation, is reviewing products to integrate a delivery formula for stores that were designed for larger volumes. Currently, 60% of orders placed online are collected from stores, gathered at curbside pick-ups or delivered from a store. The retailer (turnover 2019: US$42.88 billion) will transform 250 stores out of 1,000 into hubs accelerating ship-from-store. These super sales and logistics outlets are chosen according to their floor area, proximity to customer transport and capacity to handle same-day and next-day deliveries.
