KKR to take a stake in Cegid
In five years, Cegid's valuation has seen more than a nine-fold increase. This is highlighted by KKR’s entry into the capital of the management software publisher.
The American private-equity fund KKR is about to take a minority stake in Cegid, a French-based publisher of cloud management software solutions specialising in retailing and five other sectors. The investment and percentage of ownership were not disclosed. However, it translates into a record valuation of €5.5 billion for Cegid. As a comparison, Cegid’s takeover in 2016 was based on a valuation of €580 million.
